Fervent Fire Ministries and Real Church Host The American Dream
On Sunday, July 1st, at 7:30pm, Fervent Fire Ministries and Real Church kicked off the American Dream event at Guthrie Green in Tulsa, OK. The event started with live patriotic music from Scott C. Lovett & Aflame and Albert "Doc" Smith.
The event honored military veterans and any individual serving for the people, such as police and fire. To show their appreciation, Hot Diggity Dogs food trailer offered a free chili dog to every veteran, policeman, or fireman. They also served food to other guests who joined the festivities on the Green. Children received flags to wave during the night as well.
Words from the stage came in the form of quotes from founders and important people from America's history. These quotes showed the powerful influence Christ had on the founding and forming of our nation.
The Mission Possible dance group came on stage to do an exciting patriotic dance together. They represented the youth who very recently attended this year's Mission Possible youth camp, learning to become warriors in Christ.
As the sun went down, the main event began - the showing of "The American Dream" docudrama. It was hosted by the late Evangelist Leonard Micklin, who was honored that night. His Bible, hat, uniform, and flag rested on a chair on the stage for all to see, as he "spoke from the grave" through the docudrama, which ended with a call to salvation. The Evangelist Team from Real Church met people at the front to pray with them and give them a copy of Evangelist Micklin's book about salvation, called "The Greatest Miracle."
Fervent Fire Ministries and Real Church were honored to put on this powerful evangelistic event to not only celebrate America and honor its heroes, but to bring people back into relationship with Christ. Thank you to everyone who supported, volunteered, and attended this event to make it a success.
