After Thanksgiving day, (and usually by the night on the day of) many participate in Black Friday, leaving their families to camp outside, elbow past strangers, run down isles, and spend lots of money on good deals to get ahead on Christmas shopping. Cyber Monday follows off the weekend, with sites offering discounts on items online, often going out of stock very quickly. It's as if the moment we're done eating the turkey, we forget about being thankful or what the holiday season is supposed to focus on. #GivingTuesday was started in 2012 as a movement to remind people to be givers instead of just getters. On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, #GivingTuesday encourages people to give to charities, organizations, non-profits, etc. to make a statement. They also encourage volunteerism and anything you can do to help.
Fervent Fire Ministries is asking you to participate on #GivingTuesday to kick off the giving season after a time of prayer and supplication. Prepare and give a special #GivingTuesday donation to help further the Kingdom of God.
